66.08 - LIUWAN

The Master Tung Acupuncture point 66.08, this point overlaps with Xiaxi (GB 43), which is between the 4th and 5th metatarsal bones, 0.5 cun proximal to the web margin. Some books state this point is 0.5 cun proximal to Xiaxi (GB 43).

PRIMARY:

  • Migraines 

  • Bleeding due to trauma: injures, knife wounds, tooth extraction

SECONDARY:

33.10, Chang Men, Intestine Gate, 33.11, Gan Men, Liver Gate.png

  • ​Meniere's disease, tinnitus

  • Hemiplegia

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Contraindicated in patients with asthma, lung disease, excessive phlegm, and weakness.

66.09 - Shuiqu

The Master Tung Acupuncture point, 66.09, overlaps with Zulinqi (GB 41), which is between the 4th and 5th metatarsal bones, 1.5 cun proximal to the web margin, in the depression lateral to the tendon of the m. extensor digiti minimi of the foot.

PRIMARY:

  • Back pain

  • Edema, fluid retention, swelling of the limbs from poor kidney function

  • Tinnitus, itchy eyes

SECONDARY:

  • Muscle atrophy, numbness​

  • Generalized joint pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, wrist pain or weakness, nerve pain, sciatica on the GB channel, xing bi (mobile painful obstruction), dai (girdle) channel waist pain

  • Weight loss

  • Abdominal distension
